Digital Scrapbooking...and a Giveaway!

Do you ever think about all the great photos you've taken and wonder; "Now What?".  Me too.  They usually sit on the camera forever, or get uploaded to the computer and just sit there.  I haven't done anything with pictures in the last 10 years except upload the occasional image to this blog or my facebook.'s the solution!

Recently I was presented with a great opportunity from  They asked me to review their digital scrapbooking software called My Memories Suite, and then give you all an opportunity to win the software!  Isn't that cool?  I sure thought so.  Throughout this post you'll see my Christmas Album, the first one I made on this software.  Click on the pictures for a larger view.

Some of the the pages are predesigned templates with no changes, some of them I completely overhauled for my own look.  I added snowflakes and picture frames, even changed colors and text.

I've had the opportunity to play with it for a couple of weeks and I have to say I've been pleasantly surprised.  I've scrapbooked in the past, and although I love the results, storing the supplies and taking the time to make something nice are not feasible for me.  Having the digital software installed on the computer where I already store my digital photos made it easy to do something with those photos. I created a Christmas scrapbook in a matter of about 1-2 hours...and that accounts for time getting used to the program(which is REALLY intuitive and actually pretty simple if you have ever used a paint program).  A few days later I did a small wedding album and only took about 45 minutes to an hour; a quick Saturday morning project.  And now I have some really neat looking things to share with others.

Not only can you create a digital scrapbook, you can have your photobook printed professionally, or you can print individual pages right at home to add to your existing scrapbook.  Looking for a fun gift?  Have this printed as a calendar, or make an interactive movie, send it to your ipod or put it on dvd.  This really is a great way to drop in your photos to pre-designed template pages, or create pages from scratch using the many elements available from their website (lots of them are even FREE).  I hope you will get as much out of it as I have.  I know with a new baby on the way this will get even more use in the coming year!

I've included a video about MyMemoriesSuite that gives an overview of the software.  Watch it if you want, or visit their blog to learn even more!

Here’s what’s on the video –
·         Software Screen Tour – finding your papers and embellishments.
· website tour (and description of different types of products on the site)
·         Beginning information on album creation
·         Introduction to SOME of the tools (and references to the other video tutorials that are available)

Amanda, you are right, I would love this, lol! I especially liked your page with your family singing Christmas carols, very nice.

  2. I would really like to have this program to scrapbook my grandkids pictures. It would save me alot of time and money. I love the papers "So Stinkin Cute".

  3. Hi! My name is Jennifer and I'm a closet scrapaholic.

If I had this software, I would use it to make cute pages like Amanda and some of my other friends do about things like our travels and special occasions (like my bro-in-law's wedding this December).

My favorite papers are the ones called "Out my window summer." Very bright and playful colors.

You can reach me on FB or jennifer -dot- essary -at- hotmail - dot- com. Bye, Amanda!
